Because of its historic and cultural tradition, the region of Emilia Romagna (centre north of Italy) has been known as a rich food & wine territory with its special coldcuts, wines, balsamic vinegar and cheeses. But Emilia is also passion for motor cars. Through the cooperation of Sergio Scaglietti, famous car designer from Modena, and the Scaglietti company named and owned after his nephews Simone and Matteo, the new home fragrance collection Ut Olet Vinum is born. It aims to let people discover the fragrances linked to the world of wines, starting from Lambrusco, typical local wine from Modena, and extending the olfactory rose to the most famous Italian wines. The idea is simple and original: through the reconstruction of the olfactory pyramid of wine, extracting the aerial part of the product, Scaglietti captures the essential oils, the fragrances of the fruit, flowers, aromatic herbs of wine, eliminating the disagreeable smells of cellars and molds.

Further wine fragrances have been recently recreated from Barolo, Chianti, Pinot Nero, Fragolino, Brunello, Moscato Bianco, Prosecco Millesimato, and now, Passito di Pantelleria and Gewursztraminer. Sold in an elegant brown carton box, the bottles are made using the typical black glass of balsamic vinegar, sealed in red wax and sold at 45 Euro each. Once opened the bamboo sticks are bundled and wrapped with satin ribbons of the same colour of the box. The fragrance lasts 5-6 months. |
