The Italian region Friuli Venezia Giulia, in north east, is an important cross-road of Latin, German and Slavic culture, enriched with great wine traditions. Founded by the end of the 60s, Cantina Produttori Cormòns (www.cormons.com) today gathers 200 wine producers and embraces 413 hectares of vines from Collio Goriziano, Colli Orientali del Friuli, Isonzo, Aquileia up to Carso. The 80% of the vineyards is being farmed organically, balancing the traditional viticulture with the new wine-making technologies.

Cormòns winery produces white and red wines. But their very special product is Vino della Pace, the Peace Wine, a wine that is being produced from hundreds of world grapes cultivated in the so-called "Vineyard of the World". The Vino della Pace, made from white grapes, is a meditative, strong, mild dry wine. This is also a wine for wine-collectors and art lovers as its labels have been created and signed by famous artists, such as Enrico Baj, Giacomo Manzù, Arnaldo Pomodoro, up to Dario Fo, Yoko Ono and many others. They all took up the challenge to create an original and unique permanent art gallery, which links art with wine, the most noble of the Earth’s products. Furthermore Cantina Produttori Cormòns is also an open-air museum. Within its cellars, another magnificent surprise: the dozens of casks painted by very famous artists which have transformed this silent place, in which the wine rests and fines, into a real art gallery dedicated to wine.
